HVM Windows virtualization

HVM Windows virtualization

For our Windows vServer we only use the virtualization variant HVM (Hardware Virtual Machine). This virtualization technology works directly with hardware virtualization features of the CPU (Intel VT-x / AMD-V), allowing the virtual machine to increase performance and completely isolate each virtual instance. The Windows vServer host systems run only HVM virtual machines with Windows. The virtualization drivers necessary for operation, for example for the hardware-virtualized network cards, are already included in the installation ISO of the Windows virtual machines. An additional driver installation for using the virtual machine is therefore not necessary.
